History of Beginning

We started our online store with naijabae.com website, but in quest of serving our purpose efficiently, we came up with a better website name – 9jabay.com. Aminat Afolabi grew up in Ipetu-Ijesa, Osun State (where she felt she never quite fit in), and graduated From University of Ilorin ‘15 where she studied Pure & Applied Chemistry (where she didn’t fit in either).

She started her life career as a Writer, Poet and Journalist at 300 level in the University (where she finally started to feel like she fit in). She participated vividly as a member of Campus Journalist and Was Awarded (Writer of the Year ‘15), she pressed further by joining international journalist “Youth Journalist International, YJI”. She spent few years writing for various Local Newspapers in Nigeria including The Nation Newspaper, New Telegraph, and Daily Trust Amongst Others. Some of her write ups was published on Modern Ghana and Cameroon Newspaper.

Aminat Afolabi served her fatherland in Kano State, before relocating to Ilorin. After moving to Ilorin, she decided to be self-employed and started freelancing on (Fiverr) as her career. Aside from freelancing, she also engages herself in Network Marketing Business.

Currently, she stays in Lagos and included Importation business and as part of her longtime wish to be an author and blogger. She is working on 3 different eBooks and her e-commerce site and blog “9jabay.com” (and where she now feels like fits in)

She’s a digital nomad, marketer, website designer, and love to travel around the world while freelancing & blogging. Aside God, her clients are always her priority.
